SURFING TRIPS TO WITCHES & OLLIES POINT

  Surfing in Costa Rica is a must destination for surfers all around the world and is every surfers dream. Come and surf the two favorite breaks: Witches Rock and Ollie's Point (above), both located in Guanacaste's Rosa National Park.

Witches Rock has a left and right break with a sandy bottom. This spot is best surfed at mid/high tide. Witches is a 30 minute boat ride from Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste. Check out www.costaricatides.com for the your tide report. 

Ollie's Point is a 20 minute ride north of Witches Rock. This break is best surfed at low/mid tide and has a sandy, reef bottom. Ollie's Point is one of the most northern points on the west coast of Costa Rica with a world class surf break as seen in the movie "The Endless Summer". Ollie's Point is named after U.S. Military General Oliver North for his role in the Iran-Contra Affair. This area is close to where North sold illegal weapons via intermediaries to Iran and channeled the profits to the Contras in Nicaragua. I doubt Ollie did any surfing.....

Professional Surfing Photographer
For those of you who are interested, we now offer a photographer to capture your experiences at Withes Rock and Ollies Point. Diego is a native Costa Rican, bilingual, a fantastic photographer, as well as a surfer. He specializes in digital photos and video and would be in the water as you surf on by. If you would like to capture your surfing vacation on film, please send me an email and we will arrange Diego to accompany you on your trip. Please note that this would be a separate cost.

Our trips include lunch, fresh tropical fruits, water, beer, soda and snacks. Our price is $300.00 a day which can be split up to 6 people. If you don't feel like traveling with your board, we have several boards for rent at $25 a day.
